"Babe-Pig in the City"

Llew & Mara were responsible for the vocal recording production and management of over 20 classical and contemporary vocal artists for Universal Pictures. They also wrote some of the a cappella vocal arrangements and compositions. The movie includes numerous character roles by Mara, and ensemble roles by the Humming Birds. Llew also plays ukeklele on the soundtrack. Jarnie Birmingham and Mara appear as the singing mice.

"Passion"

Based on the life of Percy Grainger, Village Roadshow Pictures released "Passion" in April 1999. Llew and Mara worked as music consultants on the film. Mara also performs one song, and Llew arranged 2 pieces for ukelele, one of the many instruments that Grainger played. Llew had the pleasure of tutoring Barbara Hirschey and Richard Roxborough on the ukelele (again) and was "on set advisor" for the uke scenes. He also recorded the uke parts in post production. This is a beautiful period film

"Soft Fruit"

Fox Studios' Soft Fruit  won the audience vote for the most popular film at the Sydney Film Festival in 1999. Llew plays oud and bozouki and Paul Cutlan plays clarinet on the soundtrack and CD. The picture deals with a family in crisis, with excellent script and acting.

The Navigator

Mara's first feature film from the late 80s, The Navigator features some wonderful vocal takes and haunting score by former Tansey's Fancy percussionist Davoud Tabrizi. This is a brilliantly conceived and realised film journeying from medieval Britain to modern day New Zealand in search of a resolution to the plague/AIDS crises. Mara wrote the text for the theme.
