For four decades the Mara! Band have been at the cutting edge of the development of a new, and now widely recognised, genre of Australian music - World/Jazz.

Drawing inspiration from some of the many cultures that make up the fabric of modern Australia, they have been creating, performing and recording their unique and original music around the world since 1984... weaving a signature sonic cloth, with threads from traditional folk musics and jazz (along with classical, popular and early music), that has earned them 2 ARIA wins and two ARIA nominations.
